November was packed full of new experiences, lessons, and blessings. I kicked off the month by committing to posting on social media every day as a personal challenge. Let me tell you—it’s been a fascinating mental and emotional journey. Sharing vulnerable thoughts, ideas, and revelations isn’t easy, and insecurity can quickly rob you of the confidence to be authentic. Despite missing two days, I found the practice incredibly beneficial for my creativity and discipline. Alongside this, we’ve enjoyed writing and publishing this newsletter every Monday, sharing openly about my battle with depression and why we’re moving back to New Orleans.
Our Thanksgiving break was wonderfully relaxing. We stayed home, watched Despicable Me 4 (not great), ate homemade chicken tacos (amazing), and played Lorcana, our new obsession. I closed out the month with a night of prayer at a campsite—just me, a fire, a tent, and uninterrupted time with God. It’s a spiritual practice I’ve been doing for a couple of years now, inspired by Jesus’ example of solitude, and it’s always refreshing for my soul.
Looking Ahead to December
Lastly, as we prepare for our move and ministry in New Orleans, we’ve created an Amazon list of home goods to help us get ready. These are practical items that will help us create a welcoming home and serve the community more effectively. We’re so grateful for your generosity—thank you for any gifts or donations you send our way.
